Least  dangerous vs. Most dangerous
  • We chose to pick the Most dangerous
on the right because they can kill people in different ways.
  • We picked the earthquake on  the Least  dangerous  because it can kill people but we think it on both because it is dangerous and sometimes not.

Starts underground vs. above
  • We think that the right ones are underground because the magma has to go throw the tectonic plates.
  • We think the left one are above but not the tsunami because earthquakes start it.
Wind vs. no wind
  • I think  tsunami have no wind because tsunamis happen by earthquakes.
  • I think hurricanes have wind because its been made of water and air.
  • I think tornadoes have wind because it needs strong winds, hot air and cold
Water vs. no water
  • I think it's a great idea to put the volcano on no water because volcano’s don't need air

Intro:
When Paula started Fortnite, he jumped off the blue flying bus. He sniped 5 people as he walked towards the Tilted Towers. He stayed there for a while, and he left and walked towards Loot Lake. A big circle appeared in the sky and he knew he had one minute to get into the middle of the circle. He sprinted and got there just in time. There were 16 people left and then he started sniping people, and he got 12 kills.

Paula kept running looking for materials and weapons to help him.
L : He went into the house and he found a treasure chest and turned around. The treasure chest was empty. He heard somebody outside and he knew he was trapped.
P: He looked around and he  saw a gun and he went to go get it. “I need to kill the others!” he thought to himself. He smashed the table so he could build a little house to hide in. He went inside the house and stayed there to rest.

Paula kept running searching for more people to kill. When he went outside he heard whistling then he looked around then that’s when he saw a rocket.
L: He hid in the house and all of a sudden everything was black. The rocket had found him.

How to use dialogue

Focuses for writing this week
Explanation in my own words.
How to use speech marks
In the front and the end
How to put in other punctuation
Before the speech marks
When to start a new line or when to keep writing
When the person says something back and if you are still talking
Different words for ‘said’
Asked, replied, responded, yelled, screamed, shouted, mumbled, said, muttered, gasped, panting, chuckled, thought, told, uttered, continued, whispered
Adding adverbs
Responded politely, asked politely, screamed angrily,

EXAMPLES
“Who can I pick on?” asked Miss Ashley.
“Me” replied Timote.

“How was your day?” asked Hope.
“Great, thank you” replied Miss Ashley.

“How was your weekend” asked Dwyane.
“It was good” responded Havea.

If more than one person is talking, you put the reply underneath.
Mary was a beautiful girl who was wearing her long black hair in two plaits. She asked her mum, “can I go to the pools today?”.
“Why do you want to go” mum replied.
“It’s hot and I want to cool off”.
“Fine then”

If it’s only one person, you keep going.
Little red riding hood walked along the dirt path and thought to herself “I’m getting hungry”. She had walked a looooonng way but the thought of warm apple pie when she got to grandma’s house kept her going.
